Incentives and Star Power--Nichols
Many advertisers use tactics like offering something extra or a discount if you buy their product. These are called "incentives". See if you can spot an ad that uses this mode of persuasion. Another effective tool they use is "star power"---Usher uses our product--so should you. Tell me about some products that use star power to get you to buy their product.

Jessica Simpson likes Pizza Hut Pizza--she is beautiful and since she eats our product you should too!!!

The star power thing is like when hilary duff has that mini phone thing and she is trying to get people to buy it and all that other stuff.

one incentive is for cambells soup. they say if you find the special code, you could enter to win a vacation to some place, so it makes you wanna buy them untill you find the right code.
one star power thing i can think of is shaq when he does those icy hot patches. he uses them so people want to use them like him.
haley and hilary duff are on the ice breaker liquid ice commercials and they said that they like them so other people are gonna want 2 get them 2. i think there was one a while ago 2 w/ jessica and ashley simpson
the one with Michael Jorden says that he eats these hot dogs so we will to.
