humor/personal testimony--Comeau
Some advertisers use humor or personal testimony to get consumers to purchase their product. Personal testimony is helpful because when you hear that other people like the product and it works well you are more apt to buy it. Can you tell me about some commercials that use these techniques?

a comercial that uses personal testomonies is the icyhot patch and how it uses shaq to tell that it lossens up his joints and helps him play basket ball.
personal testimony-
on the infomercials for fitness stuff it shows people saying that they lost 76 pounds and 5 inches from there waste.
humor-
on the commercial for teh fastfood place(i dont remember which one) it shows teh kid playing video games and teh mom and dad begging to go to the reteraunt for lunch and then the kid says ok get in the car.
Mat--great observation--that one actually combines techniques--personal testimony and star power--great example!!!!
Whit--great job!!! It definately makes you believe that if these "every day" people can do it so can you!!!!
Personal Tetimony- On the NutriSystem commercials they have that annoying girl thata says i went from this size to a size 2. And im thinking yeah rriiiiiiiiiiiight!
Humor- On the cell phone commercial for atell or something like that they have the four guys from different phone companys and the atell guy gives him razrs and the orange guy throws his on a bench and then he runs and tackles a guy! Hahahahahahahaha!
I saw a dunkin donuts commercial and it had a funny little son that ended "....is it french or is it italian prehaps fratlian!!" it was funny. it was for the lattes you order in english not fratlian
a funny commersial is the one for identity theft on credit cards asnd they show teh 2 old ladies talkin about what they bought in a funny voice. an other one is the guy lifting weights and he sings a song in a girls voice!!!
