humor/personal testimony--Nichols
Some advertisers use humor or personal testimony to get consumers to purchase their product. Personal testimony is helpful because when you hear that other people like the product and it works well you are more apt to buy it. Can you tell me about some commercials that use these techniques?

One humorous commercial is the one with the two lady's (that are old!) that are doing a visa credit card commercial. Another commercial for the visa is that weight lifting guy that talks like a cheerleader and sings that song (If it is a song). Anyway, I think they are bolth very humorous commercials!!
personal testimony- on the proactive commercials, they have people that say how wonderful the product is and how it helps their face a lot so the people watching are gonna think that they can get the same results.
humor- the commercials that talk about identity theft (i forgot wat the company is called) are really funny because they have people talkin but its not really their voice. i like those commercials, they're funny lol. :D
One humorus commercial is the burger king commercial where the kids and the parents swithch places it goes "Hey buddy, you ready to go to burger king?" "Not right now dad" "But you promised" Then he starts crying and then they go. I love it.
The humorous commercial that I like is where there is that gut that has a girl's voice and he was talking about how he stole a password on line and toke money was like " Hollwood here I come unbreak my hreat say you love me agian undo this hrut that you made when you walked out the door and out of life" and he sounds life a teenage girl. - Haley
i really like the geico comercial with the cave man when he goes to see his psyciatrist, or something, and he asks here what she would think if is says 'its so easy a psyciatrist could do it' and she sais "well that wouldnt work because psyciatrists are..." and he says "smart?" and when he is at the airport and he sees the sign, and he's like for cryin' out loud!
